A place to start
When someone does not know how to begin, Deep Press could provide a conversational starting point.

Deep Press is a platform being developed by the Natural Intellects Foundation for people experiencing depression or difficult emotional periods who may need somewhere to begin expressing what they are going through.
It is not being imagined as another ordinary chatbot. Its approach to conversation, support and interaction is intentionally being explored differently as the initiative develops.
People can experience distress, loneliness, uncertainty or overwhelm without knowing who to talk to, where to begin, or whether anyone will understand.
Stigma, isolation, uncertainty, lack of immediate access and the difficulty of starting a conversation can all add friction. Deep Press is being explored around that human problem.
This is a conceptual representation of how a lower-friction digital conversation could help someone begin expressing what they are experiencing. It is not a clinical treatment pathway.
When someone does not know how to begin, Deep Press could provide a conversational starting point.
Writing or talking through what is on someone’s mind may make it easier to articulate a difficult moment.
The experience is intended to create room for thoughtful reflection rather than simply generate responses.
Where appropriate, the concept could help someone consider a trusted person, a resource or another constructive next step.
Deep Press is exploring how technology might help someone move toward human or professional support—not replace it.
I do not know how to explain what I am feeling.
I can at least put some of it into words.
Maybe I understand this difficult moment a little better.
Maybe I know who or what I can reach out to.
Conceptual journey only — not a testimonial or promised outcome.
A next step might involve reaching out to someone trusted, seeking professional support, finding an appropriate resource or taking another constructive action. Deep Press should never become a dead end.
Deep Press is not a replacement for qualified mental-health professionals, emergency services or human relationships. Where someone may be in immediate danger, urgent human or emergency assistance is needed.
People should be able to approach difficult conversations with dignity. Privacy, data minimization and responsible handling of sensitive conversations are design principles—not claims of completed technical controls.
A digital conversation could offer a lower-friction place to begin for someone who does not yet know who to contact or what to say. It cannot solve every access-to-care barrier.
This is a concept and R&D direction. Its capabilities, boundaries and appropriate use must be developed responsibly with people at the center.
